HR Policy Review

HR Policy Review

You may already have HR policies in place, but over time they can become outdated, inconsistent or no longer reflect how your organisation works or current employment law.

The HR Policy Review could be right for you if you want to:

  • Understand whether your existing HR policies are clear and fit for purpose
  • Identify policies that may need updating to reflect current employment law or good HR practice
  • Spot gaps, inconsistencies or potential risks
  • Check whether your policies reflect your current organisation and ways of working
  • Know which policies you should prioritise for attention

You already have the policies. We help you understand which ones are working, which need attention and where the gaps may be.

We review the HR policies you provide to understand whether they are current, clear, consistent and fit for purpose for your organisation.

For each policy, we consider:

  • Alignment with current employment requirements
  • Alignment with good HR practice
  • Whether the policy is clear and easy to understand
  • Whether roles, responsibilities and processes are clear
  • Consistency across your policies
  • Gaps, risks or areas that may need attention
  • Whether the policy reflects how your organisation operates today
  • Opportunities to simplify or improve the policy

We’ll also highlight where there appear to be important HR policies missing from the set you provide.

This is a review of your existing policies. We identify what needs attention and why, so you know where to focus next.

Your PeopleCore HR Policy Review Report will give you a clear view of the policies reviewed, what needs attention and where you should focus first.

Your report will show:

  • What’s working well – policies that are current and fit for purpose
  • What needs attention – policies that may need updating, improving or clarifying
  • Key gaps and risks – including potential policy gaps or areas of concern
  • Prioritised actions – helping you understand what should be addressed first
  • Policy-by-policy findings – clear feedback on each policy you asked us to review

Your Policy Review Summary
We’ll bring the findings together into an at-a-glance summary so you can quickly see the status of the policies reviewed and your priorities for action.

Your findings session
Your HR Policy Review also includes a findings and recommendations session with PeopleCore to talk through the review, answer your questions and discuss the policies requiring the most attention. The session length depends on the package selected.

Not sure which HR Policy Review is right for you?
We’ll help you determine the right option based on the number and complexity of the policies you would like reviewed.

The HR Policy Review is an independent review of your existing HR policies. It identifies where policies may need updating, improving or clarifying and highlights gaps or potential risks.

The review does not include rewriting or creating policies, implementing recommendations or providing ongoing HR support.

Each policy is treated as one standalone HR policy or document. Employee handbooks, combined policy manuals or unusually long or complex documents may require a tailored quote.

Our review considers current employment law and good HR practice, but it does not constitute legal advice.

If we identify a policy that may require specialist legal advice, we’ll highlight this in our findings.
